Amy Sherald AND Kehinde Wiley are different but yet they had similar work like the fashion in their work and the bright color they use. Representation is really important to have in art and media because they are many stories behind those portraits that needs to be told. It also shows the different cultures that exists. Also, it is important who makes the image because that shows the idea behind it, what that person feel about the issue like is it from someone who really feels the issue or just to make work and sale it. Amy Sherald artworks are like clothing stores advertisement that care about fashion but only people of color who is representing it, which shows that not only white people can represent fashion, which made me choose this little girl in the yellow as myself. Kehinde Wiley uses bold, bright botanicals in his work is very special and attract people’s attention since plants are very important and provide food for us, which made me make this background.
