As a society, there are many things that can be fixed. Right now, as the world feels divided, it is important to understand that we are one. My flag represents Equality, care for Nature, and new opportunities. I felt a strong connection while painting my flag because one day, everyone will see, what I see, a world with Love, Equality, and Freedom. In time, full of chaos and uncertainty, it is important to stay together and grow as one. After days of thinking and coming up with ideas of how and what, I wanted my flag to represent and look like, I decided to create a Heart-shaped Earth, surrounded in Sunflower petals. The Sunflower represents Growth, the Heart represents Love, and the Earth represents life. Each symbol of my flag also represents me, the Sunflower represents myself growing into the hardworking, Educated, and independent woman I am today. The Heart represents my family, my friends, and my love for God. The Earth represents the kindness and respect, I give to others. Working on my flag with my grandfather meant so much to both of us. It became a memory that we'll look back to. Dahlia's work inspired me to create my flag because she uses many different colors and shapes to tell a story in her own way. Her work means many things that are real to all of us. I placed my flag outside on my front yard to view it from another perspective. The naturistic background bring the flag to life.

Materials Used: To create my flag I used a white towel, water Paint, and color construction paper.
I love how you use the sunflower petals and towel to create your flag. This is very creative. I also did not know that you used watercolor paint to create this. Pretty cool!
